The Development Team

Bill Yurcik


of the U.S. Army Research Laboratory conceived SCRUB-tcpdump, continues to lead incremental design, and plans all anonymization experiments. He was also the lead on previous research projects that produced two other anonymization tools for sharing security data: SCRUB-PA and CANINE.

Dr. Latifur Khan


from the University of Texas at Dallas served as the head of the development team and oversaw the students who were collaborating on the project.

Dr. Bhavani Thuraisingham


from the University of Texas at Dallas also provided support for the students who are working on the porject and provided additional expertise and information when it was needed.

Clay Woolam


a student at the University of Texas at Dallas, served under Drs. Khan and Thuraisingham as one of the developers for the software and contributed to the papers and provided some hands-on work with the experimentation process. He is mainly working now with Dr. Yurcik on the current and future experiments with the software.

Gregory Hellings,

also a student at the University of Texas at Dallas, likewise served under Drs. Khan and Thuraisingham working with Clay on coding the project and also collaborating with the paper, helping with putting it together. He is also responsible for the current oversight and maintenance of the porject - its code, its documtation and its website.
